About Me

I was lead to looking up Brownsville, TX, Jesse James and the KGC by an America Unearthed episode overnight, in which I learned so much about a time I've always been interested in.  Mention of a town in TX just made it more fascinating and I wanted to check out the veracity of the information.  I will be reading everything on this site.

Thirty years ago I lived with my ex-husband in Newburg, Huntingdon Co, PA.  My 75 yr old father-in-law told stories of Jesse James and Cole Younger often visiting nearby Todd Township.  I thought that was pretty neat and wondered if it was really true.  Now I find out that Jesse also (maybe) lived not-all-that-far from where I live now.  Hm-m-m. . .

My present husband and I left PA in an RV 16 years ago and 14 years ago settled in Deep East Texas where I raise Miniature Schnauzers and work constantly on upgrading and maintaining an old house on an acre of land that I have no desire to ever leave.  Prior to this I never lived in one place for more than 6 years, a gypsy at heart.

I'm looking forward to reading everything here.
