Orrick, Missouri Man's Testimony about Jesse James
At our Bloody Bill Anderson Mystery group on Yahoo, we are currently looking into the possibility that a "J.A. McDaniel" who was living in Brown County, Texas in 1880 could have been Jesse Woodson James living under that alias. This article shows that Jesse James used the alias "Jim McDaniel" when he was in Missouri and we know that Jesse James was living in Brown County in 1879 from a letter to the editor of a Missouri newspaper that he mailed from Brownwood in November, 1879.
