New York World newspaper, March 26, 1916. William C. Anderson summoned Cole Younger to his Salt Creek home when Cole was in Brown County after he'd been paroled from prison. After a long meeting, Cole Younger came away fully satisfied that William C. Anderson was the one and only Guerrilla leader known as "Bloody Bill" Anderson.
